Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers to the most common questions about PayPay terminals.

1. When do payments change to the "Confirmed" status?

Payments from Verifone terminals only change to the Confirmed after PayPay receives the settlement with a successful operation status.

information
Settlement is the financial clearing process that definitively confirms the transaction with the acquiring bank.

2. What happens if a transaction is successfully completed on a Cloud terminal but the webhook does not reach PayPay in time?

The behaviour depends on the payment expiry date and the configuration sent:

📋 Scenario 1: Valid date still active

  • Result: The payment is accepted and changes to Authorised.

📋 Scenario 2: Expired date, but payment within grace period

  • Result: The payment is accepted and remains in Authorised (Cancelled).

📋 Scenario 3: Expired date + flag blockLatePayment enabled

  • Condition: The payment request included the flag "validDate": {"blockLatePayment": true}.
  • Result: The payment is voided and remains in Cancelled, even if the payment date is within the validity period.

Request Example:

{
"amount": 100,
"validDate": {
"blockLatePayment": true
}
}

📋 Scenario 4: Expired date and payment outside grace period

  • Result: The payment is void and remains in Cancelled.
